  • Bachelor of History – University of King Abdel Aziz, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - 1977
  • Post-Graduate Studies: Diploma in Diplomatic Studies and International Relations University of Central London, UK – 1981
  • Master of Business Economics & Management ( MSc ), Szent Istvan University, Budapest, Hungary - 2009

Work Experience:

  • Appointed Third Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1977. 
  • Chargé d’ Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Muscat from February,1978.
  • Appointed Second Secretary at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in London from 1979 up to 1982.
  • Appointed First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations from 1982 up to 1985.
  • Appointed First Secretary at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Paris from 1987 up to 1990.
  • Was deputed as a Director to the Office of H.E. Minister of Justice, from 1990 up to 1992.
  • Appointed as Councellor at the Under Secretary's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1992 up to 1993.
  • Appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of India from 1993 up to 2000.
  • Appointed as non resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the Republic of Singapore, the Republic of Maldives, the Republic of Mauritius, the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Nepal up to 2000.
  • Director of the International Department of the GCC General Secretariat, Riyadh, from 2002 to 2004.
  • Appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Hungary from November 2004, till now.
  • Appointed as non resident Ambassador, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic.
  • Participated in many regional and international conferences.
  • Participated in several UN General Assembly sessions.
  • Participated in several conferences of the Orgnization of the Islamic Conference and Non-Aligned Movement.

Direction and Awards:

  • Was granted Indira Gandhi’s Award for International Relations in 1996.
  • Was granted in July 2000 the Millennium Award for Excellence in Diplomatic Performance, presented by the Indian Unity society founded in 1964 at the initiative of the late Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

  • Married and father of three sons and one daughter.
